Heather Connell’s book is well-organized and easy to navigate.  The categories are self-explanatory, and flow with ease.  If you like to jump around and want to start off by simply thumbing through the book no problem here!  Looking for something specific?  The available contents page and index will get you where you want to go in a matter of seconds.



Connell starts off with a brief introduction and review of eating Paleo basics followed by an overview of Superfoods that exist in the Paleo world.  Next, dive into her well written sections that familiarize you with the Superhero Superfood Line Up: Proteins, Greens, Vegetables, Fruits, Fats, Herbs, and Spices.  Each Superfood is broken down into great detail with descriptions and explanations of its powers and health benefits including: anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, fuel for workouts, blood sugar stabilizers, brain boosters, anxiety relievers, and so much more.  Connell ends each piece with a simple yet scrumptious recipe incorporating the featured food item.   She also includes tips throughout for selecting, prepping, and planning how to incorporate each Superfood into you daily diet.  You don’t have to be a doctor or specialist to understand what each food can do for you and your body, because her message is clear and well written.



And of course who can forget the recipes that Connell has assembled!  The images displayed are realistically flavorful.  It is a wonderful collection of delectable goodies.  Each of the Superfood sections, get the reader pumped up to fill their body with their nutritional benefits.  Then, Connell engages the reader further by including a mouth-watering recipe at the end of each section, brilliantly highlighting that Superfood.  Connell’s book will walk you step-by-step into incorporating Superfoods into your diet immediately.
